We can offer two very different but similar services, in visionary masterplanning and estate rationalisation. Masterplanning often relates to new build and significant building additions to an existing estate, like a growing university campus or business park. Estate strategy often relates to the organisation of existing buildings or departmental spaces, connectivity and infrastructure. Both masterplanning and estate strategy looks to manage groups of buildings or spaces to their mutual benefit delivering regeneration, sustainability, growth or consolidation according to a brief – often relating to changing technology, people, communities or leadership changes.
Minimising costs or maximising profits in a refreshed or extended environment such that the outcomes yield benefits is where we can add value as designers. It is important to recognise these processes require collaboration and co-creation around shared values and vision to enable a successful outcome.
