Future Nurseries
Our modular nursery concept can be adapted to suit different locations and building capacities, across a variety of sites. Each module represents a playroom or support space. Modules can be adapted or combined to create interconnected zones for different age groups; and be reconfigured into one or two storey building layouts.
At the Platt Street site, building capacity requirements versus available site area led us to a two storey design. Natural timber and green living walls have been used on the external façade to create a welcoming and nurturing feeling to the building. At first floor, the external play area and square punched windows, represent tree houses within the lush green canopy. At ground floor, the timber cladding wraps around the building and an external courtyard for the youngest children, creating a protective and sheltered enclosure.
