Southgate & Sarabia Architects have become an official partner and ambassador of Regeneration Brainery, a vital charity for young people.  Natalie Sarabia-Johnston one of our Directors and Founders,  spends some of her time each week advocating and mobilising industry friends and partners into action!

Regeneration Brainery’s mission is to motivate and help propel young people from diverse backgrounds into the built environment; industry needs 1 in 5 school leavers to go into construction and the professions.

The charity links young people with industry partners, they in turn help mentor and support young people from school into industry, further and higher education. The charity supports the formation of work placements, apprenticeships, job and university applications, supporting kids who don’t have equal life chances and opportunities. 

This year, team Regeneration Brainery have secured passes for students, graduates, and junior members of staff, to attend UKREIF in Leeds, northern England equivalent of MIPIM. Each student will be given a mentor and they will spend three days meeting people, networking and building their confidence. It is rewarding to see students go from not saying a word, to fully interacting and asking questions of industry professionals. Regeneration Brainery successfully took young people en masse last year!
