Something Truly Optimistic And Genuine: Southgate & Sarabia Architects Collaborative

It’s always a delight to announce new ventures especially when we have been developing our thoughts for over 12 months, to get everything right and launch at the best time! During lockdown our new addition came into being Southgate & Sarabia Architects Collaborative.

From the strangest of times, something truly optimistic and genuine amongst the heartache has emerged with our new colleague Professor Mohamed Gamal Abdelmonem, from Nottingham Trent University, the Chair for the Centre for Architecture, Urbanism and Global Heritage: Collaboration.

Southgate & Sarabia Architects Collaborative is developed out of partnership between Southgate & Sarabia Architects and the Centre for Architecture, Urbanism and Global Heritage at Nottingham Trent University. Our projects are global with active collaborations in UK, US, Europe and the Middle East.

Working in partnership with individuals, communities, enterprises and institutions, our journey begins with forensic investigation, a visionary approach, and experimental response to present needs and future challenges.  We think, envision, challenge, invent, create and operate without limits. From life-long and smart homes, to robotics in construction, virtual museums, and futuristic heritage, our process is exploratory, conceptually-open, research-led, and scientifically-validated. We use technology in design, operating in the virtual space as efficient as we do in the physical world.

Our first projects are underway with international partners, testing and researching in a changing world. More to follow.
